October Budget

Normally I list individual prices but I had a gift card and Kohl's cash for Kohl's so the total for that will be listed at the end, everything else is normal.

1. Lc Lauren Conrad Jeggings in Winetasting. I was looking to get the knit pants in the same color but I saw these and thought I would try them on. I've never worn jeggings but I've been enjoying these. Normal Price is $50 but they are normally on sale, high waisted version.

2. Apt. 9 Tunic I saw this on sale and really liked the pattern. It is very long on me. I plan on tucking it into skirts. Regular price 30, currently on sale for $19.99

Not shown- Elle Bow Sweater- This is sold out online. It's a short sleeve sweater with a bow.

Kohl's Total: $59- $10 Kohl's Cash - $10 gift card from Ebates = $39 out of pocket

3. Payless glitter shoes. These were a total impulse buy. I wound up in Payless with some friends and saw these. They were only $7. They are sold out online but these are similar.

4 Thrifted Striped Sweater. I picked up a basic blue and cream striped sweater for $5.50. Similar

Total $39 at Kohl's + $7 + $5.50 = $51.50

I tried not to shop too much this month because I knew I was going to buy some furniture this month and I wanted to save for black Friday next month.

Splurge and Steal Fall Essentials

I've rounded up some great fall items at every price point.
Over the knee boots are great for fall. I got my pair in winter so I didn't get as much wear as I wanted too. Black is a great one to have, I'd like to add burgundy to my collection. The splurge is Stuart Weitzman Lowland at $798. The Material girl is a steal at 47.40. The Stuart Weitzman Highland is also $798, the Steve Madden are $99.95. I have the Unisa for $79.95
A long sleeve striped dress is on my list for fall. The steal is Jessica Howard for $79. This Eliza J fit and flare is super cute and $58.80. The splurge is Vince Camuto for $119. I've shown some more below. The most expensive is $102, many are under $75.

Sweater dresses are perfect for fall. This Target dress is a classic sweater and is only $49.99. I love the fit and flare of this Calvin Klein one it's $134. All the dresses in the widget below are under $100.

Long cardigans are on trend this fall. This plum sweater from H&M is only $29.99. The ASTR cardigan is $138. Open back sweaters are a fun way to show off a bralette. The Express sweater is $30.99, this Oliva Palmero sweater is $129.

September Sephora Play Review

I’ve been subscribed to Sephora Play a few months. I’ve been enjoying the samples I’ve been receiving. It’s really fun to try new things each month. This month’s theme was the unbasic basics. There were some samples I really loved and some I felt so-so about.

Sephora Lipstick in Love Spell- I don’t think this color is for me it’s a little too sheer for my tastes. If you like a sheerer barely there color I think you would enjoy it. But, I do like the formula it’s very moisturizing it looks like there are some nice colors in the range.

Ole Henrickson Sheer Transformation- I loved that this was so light weight. I’m very bad at moisturizing in the morning because my moisturizer feels kinda heavy. According to the playbook this can double as a primer which is nice. So, I like the double duty aspect. However, I didn’t see a difference in my skin.

Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in Trooper- This was one of the products I was most excited to try I’ve heard a lot about it and it really lived up to my expectations. This eyeliner didn’t bleed and it stayed all day. I think it is pretty black. I did learn I’m not good at a free hand cat eye that Youtube makes it seem so easy.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Clear Brow Gel- I was also excited to try this one. I’ve just started filling my brows. I like how easy this is to apply. Alone it creates a really subtle look. I have kinda light brows so I really enjoyed using a powder, I just used eyeshadow, and using this on top to finish it. I’m interested in trying a colored one now to have an easy one step look.

Living Proof Perfect  Hair Day Night Cap- I don’t do too many hair products. The sample said you could use it with wet hair or dry hair. I tried it with both. With dry hair I had good results, my hair seemed very shiny the next day. It didn’t work with wet hair for me. I feel like my hair didn’t look too great the next morning. It does have heavy scent. I liked the scent but if you are scent sensitive that is something to think about.

Atelier Cologne Sud magnolia- The notes say this has a warm floral scent. I didn’t like it on my skin but my mom really liked it.

Holiday Makeup

I know it's only October but there are a lot of holiday sets out already. Some are really catching my eye.

Beauty's most coveted This is really worth the price in my opinion. You get a beauty blend which is $28 on it's own. And a full sized Vice lipstick. I've wanted to try Moonstone from Becca in pressed form. This Luna Play looks great for travel. I've heard the translucent powder is great. $75

I love Sephora multi-brand samplers. I like getting to try new things. With lashstash get 8 mini mascaras and 2 full size mascaras. I can see me splitting this with my mom. I've used the Better Than Sex mascara and Perversion mascara and I've enjoyed both. $45

Kat Von D everlasting mini lipsticks- This set gives you 8 mini lipsticks to try for only $49. It has some more adventurous shades that I would be too nervous to get a whole tube of so a tiny one would be perfect. It also has two new shades! $49
Metal/Matte It has 13 matte shades and 9 metal crush shades. I like how the metal crushes look more foiled than glitter. There are a good amount of neutral shades so you could get an everyday look out of this palette. $60

What I like about the Tarte Wingworkers set is its interesting colors. They say the formula lasts 12 hours. It has a basic black but it has some interesting shades: eggplant, navy and bronze.$35

I really enjoy Becca sets I got one for my birthday and this one is different but looks pretty good. I love the backlight priming filter, it creates the prettiest glow. I have the liquid in moonstone, this one comes in opal and opal is such a pretty color. I've heard great things about the under eye brightener. $49
If you just want the famous Shimmering Skin Perfectors, Try Opal on the go. It's a liquid and the pressed in the shade opal. You can wear them by themselves or put the pressed over the liquid for a dramatic look. $20

Are any holiday makeup sets on your wishlist?

4 Ways To take Your Bralette into Fall

We all love our bralettes in the summer. I've put together 4 ways to take your bralettes into fall. 3 looks can be causal and one makes a statement.

Under a Button Up. Wearing a bralette under a button-up is an easy fall look. You can leave a few buttons unbuttoned.
Bralette , Chambray Shirt, Pants (color sold out but same style), Black Pumps
With High Waisted Jeans. This is a dramatic look, your bralette is just acting as a sparkly crop top. This is a great going out look. The bralette is paired with a statement jacket and statement shoes.
Bralette, Jacket, Jeans, Shoes
Peeking out from a sweater This is a superwearable look. A bit of lace from a high neck bralette peeks out from a v-neck sweater. It adds nice color and picks up the orange stripe on the skirt.
Sweater Bralette only $15 Shoes Skirt
With a wrap dress This can add a bit of modesty to a low cut wrap dress. This bralette mixes mesh and lace.
Dress, Bralette Shoes

How do you wear bralettes in the fall?
