Quirky Shoes

I thought I'd take a look at some fun quirky shoes.

I love these Charlotte Olympia shoes. They've been on my Pinterest for awhile and I've been trying to figure out a nice looking DIY for them.
These umbrella shoes are adorable. Charlotte Olympia reminds me of a sophisticated Irregular Choice because the shoes are crazy and fun but they are a little toned down.
These taxi shoes from Kate Spade are really fun. Most flats that are a bit out of the ordinary tend to be an animal face so I love that these are trying something different.
These piano shoes are really subtle. I can imagine a cool Ms. Frizzle-like teacher wearing them.
These Irregular Choice shoes have an Elvis head as a heel. There's nothing else to say.

Stripes and Dots

I mixed stripes and dots the other day. I think it works because they are the same colors.
This outfit was really fun to wear. I went to different candy stores and watched the Beyonce and Jay-Z concert on HBO.

I went to the Renaissance Festival with a ton of my friends over the weekend.
This is a guy in a balloon.
I didn't have anything too Renaissance-y so I went with a leather corset and brocade. My friends called me the bondage fairy.

Beep Beep

I wore this to school and dinner. Well I wore most of the outfit to school. At school I did flats because I'd be late to my 8am class if I was teetering around on toothpicks.
I really like the ruffle on this skirt. It makes it a little more exciting than a normal black pencil skirt.
These shoes are so cool! I got them for Christmas and I don't wear them too much because they are so special and I can't walk to well in them. I walk around like a stylish newborn deer.

I wore this fun McQ for target dress out to dinner. My stepdad and I went to Outback which was a weird choice for him but they had a steak and unlimited tiny shrimp deal.

I wore my McQ for Target dress. I feel kinda silly because I'm not quite sure how to tie it.

I think the mesh overlayer takes a basic dress to the next level.

eShakti Review

I was offered a review of a dress from eShakti. I picked this adorable bow front dress.
This site is really cool because it allows you so much customization. I like to make my own clothes so I love getting exactly what I want. I tried out the custom sizing because my hips and bust measurements are hard to fit into a normal size chart sometimes.
It fits great! Another option I customized was the sleeves. I tend to prefer sleeveless dresses so that they are easier to layer under cardigans without bulk. This dress also has pocket and not the normal dainty pockets but big enough to hold my giant Note 2.
The dress is simple enough to pile on colors but the bows give it a lot of interest.

I think peach and navy is a really fresh combo. I wore this to school.

I love the cutouts on the shirt. I think pairing it with a bright bandeau would be fun. I grabbed this in the Marshall's in the more upper class neighborhood. They have way better stuff.

Sometimes you just want an easy outfit. My leopard trashy diva dress is on of my go to dresses. It's so easy to wear and it works in every season. The boots and cardigan might look slightly out of place with the hot weather we've been having but the restaurant I do trivia at always feels like winter so the cardigan and boots are necessary.

I wore my Cambie to school. I really like this dress. I want a closet full of Cambies. I just wish I did an invisible zipper instead of a handpicked one. I think I may need to get an invisible zipper foot for my Bernina.
I think the pin up girls in the print on the dress are adorable.

White out

I wore this to get a hibachi dinner with my boyfriend. I normally don't wear white especially when I'm eating. I forgot that the chef throws shrimp at you to catch. I missed the shrimp but they also missed my dress.
Dress and Earrings- Vintage, Bag- Kate Spade, Shoes- Sam Edelman
When I wear this dress I treat it like a blank canvas. It has great details like the texture and the beading on the collar. Since it's just white I wear big and colorful accessories.

You can really see the texture of the dress here.
