Lady Suits

As you know, I've been working on a leopard suit. I'll show you my fabrics as soon as I'm done the first muslin. I wanted to highlight some cool lady suits.

Even when Alice + Olivia does men's inspired it is still girly. The stripes are really cool. The way the jacket is horizontal while the pants are vertical makes the suit a little bit more interesting.
This lady suit is from Prabal Gurung. The print is so modern but the cut is really classic.
This look from Diane Von Furstenberg is totally printed. It's the opposite of less is more.
Emma Roberts in Nanette Lepore. When I saw this photo on Tom and Lorenzo I knew it would be perfect for illustrating the kind of pants I want: cropped, not to tight. I love this suit because of the print and the modern blazer.
What do you think about lady suits?

Anna Dello Russo

I love Anna Dello Russo's style; its fearless and fun. I think she is good to pull some inspiration from. If you take some things from her looks like colors, shapes or embellishments you can really have some fun with your wardrobe. So here are some ways to inject some of Anna's drama into your looks.
I really like this outfit. I love the embellished circle skirt with a cozy sweater. This is more of a party look because of all the embellishments. It's sort of subtle because all the embellishments are monochromatic. I love this vintage sweater. It is entirely beaded. This skirt has a great texture on the fabric. Normally, I don't go too matchy-matchy with shoes but this has both of the outfits main colors.
I love the colors and the textures in this outfit. She does double crocodile. The main thing we are taking from this look is the colors. Pink looks so good with green. This vintage green jacket is totally retro but the fur collar means you don't need a necklace. I love the shape on these J. Crew pants and the shades work well together. Since the jacket is so bold, all you need is a simple top like this one from Kirna Zabete for Target. The polka dots give it some interest. And turquoise shoes round out the look.

I wore this to school. I wanted to pair it with some red heels but the weather had other ideas so I went with my standard gold flats. My normal tripod broke so I got a new cheap one that I don't really like so I need to get a better one soon. My mom took these pictures.

I really like the combination of a sweater and lace. I got this dress at Honfest from a street vendor. I love the lace and the bodice has a little touch of rhinestones on it.
