Dress- Vintage, tights- Target, Shoes- Payless, Blazer-LOFT
I love the waist detail on this dress. I want to have another dress with something similar.
I didn't wear the blazer that much because it was so nice out.

Fabric Haul

My old high school's drama department is going through some changes and getting rid of a lot of fabric. And when people need to get rid of fabric, I'm your girl. I came home with a trash bag filled with fabric and an adjustable dress form. Let's look at some of the fabric I got.
The solids were a gold mine. They aren't really exciting colors but most of them have a lot to work with and good weights. There's a brown wool that I think will look great in a coat with a lot of seams, a denim for capris and some fabrics for winter skirts. And there will be enough fabric for a jacket so I can try some tailoring.
I got a good bit of prints too but I'm only going to look at a few because they don't photograph too well in my sewing room. I love the fabric with velvet stripes. I have a few pieces of that. I know that one piece will be the bodice of a dress. The floral is for some place mats.
I think the floral is so pretty. I think it will be a fantastic pencil skirt. My mom wants the blue and brown fabrics for the living room.

Milk and Honey

I was looking for custom shoes the other day and I found the best site. It's called Milk and Honey. I haven't ordered anything from them but I have played around with the shoe designer and it is so fun and there are so many options.

I paired gray snakeskin with hot pink leather. Pink and gray is such a great over looked color combination.
Most shoes just have one color glitter. I think you should get as much shine as humanly possible so I used three colors of glitter.
Play around with the shoe designer. I'd love to see what you come up with! I'll feature some of my favorites right here.

I wore this to run some errands. I already had the jeans and tee on so I just threw on a sweater and blazer. I added the hat for color and because it's so fun!
Blazer- Loft, Sweater- New York and Company, Tee- Rodarte for Target, Bag- Marc by Marc Jacobs, Shoes- Payless, Hat- Gift
I really love this hat. It's in one of my favorite colors and it adds a bit of fun to an otherwise basic outfit.
I've had these jeans forever and they are my go-to pair.

Zou Bisou Bisou

On the season premiere of Mad Men, Megan Draper sang "Zou Bisou Bisou" ever since, I've been thinking about dramatic sleeves and 60s makeup. I've also been trying not to embarrassingly it in public. Let's take a look a some dramatically sleeves.I love the print on this dress. And the sleeves are perfect for dramatically gesturing. I love thecontrast of a tight skirt with a loose flowy sleeve. The brooch is pretty cool too.
This is such a sassy dress.
Dramatic sleeves are a great way to add interest to a basic dress. So go forth and do an awkward dance in front of your coworkers.

I wore this to have dinner with my stepdad.Blazer- LOFT, Dress- Trashy Diva, Bracelet- Vintage, Crinoline- Gift, Belt- Filene's, Shoes- Old Navy

I love this crinoline. I barely wear it but it adds such drama and color. It's a little big so I always need to have a belt hold it up.

So I've decided that I'm going to post on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays because I like to hang out with real people on the weekends. And here is a Brayola give away

I love the Prada spring collection. It's retro without being costumey. The colors are dreamy. I'm not really into cars but I'm always charmed by boat-like old cars so I love the use of them in this collection. Pairing a giant car applique with a tiny car print top is just genius. I can see my self wearing crop tops with full skirts. Also, the shoes are just plain bad ass.

For my mom's birthday my stepdad took us to see Memphis. I decided to dress with a little bit of vintage flair. I also did a cat eye using this tutorial. I also hot rolled my hair but like always it didn't stay in too long. I took a pretty costumey vintage dress and paired it with bright shoes and a modern jacket.
Dress- Vintage, Shoes- Philadelphia, Jacket- H&M, Bag- Marc by Marc Jacobs

I love this dress. The print is perfect and the length is great. The only problem is one sleeve keeps ripping. I may make it short sleeved so it won't happen again. If it were short sleeved I'd probably wear it more but it feels like hurting history. What should I do?

I finished my red version of McCall's 6331. I modified it a little bit. I changed the skirt to a circle skirt. I'm so excited to wear this out.

I think the topstitching on this looks better than on the white version. I also used a bit less padding in the bust. I used a white facing because I didn't think I'd have enough red after cutting the skirt. I know realize that I would have. I may try to squeeze a shell top out of the left over fabric.

I hand-picked the zipper. I think this is going to be a great summer dress.

Adore Me

Adore Me made some changes to their site and asked me to check it out. The site now has a sleeker more sophisticated layout. Your showroom is divided into more specific categories and you can also add lingerie sets to your favorites. My favorite new feature is being able to search everything by color or category.
I was sent a set of lingerie. I picked Kate. I love how the color can be worn under anything. The bra fit so well and I love how the lace slightly peeked over the cups. The briefs fit well too. They didn't leave any panty line under skinny jeans. Kate is a great everyday set of lingerie.
You should check out Adore Me's new site. They are $39.95 per set with fast, free shipping.
