Feathers

Feathers are a great way to add some interest to a look. A dash of feathers in accesories is subtle while a whole dress is bold.
This Anthropologie cuff is very subtle and it would go great with any outfit. The small row of rhinestones make it a bit fancier than a normal cuff.
This feathered Milly coat is amazing. I love the two kinds of tweed at the bottom. Tweed tends to be a very mature and old fabric but this coat is so youthful. The feathers are light but make a big impact.
This Oscar de La Renta dress is beautiful! It would be fantastic at a garden party. It's such a delicate dress.
This Target scarf is great for the feather wary. It's colorful but tame. My mom would love this she likes to look cool but she doesn't like feathers and glitter on everything like I do.

Red Dress

I wore this to dinner the other day our normal trivia place was so crowded that there wasn't any room for us and we went to Pizza Hut instead.
I think my wedge sneakers would look really cute with this dress but I thought it was going to rain all day so I wore my Aerosoles.
This might be one of my favorite dresses I've made. It's not perfect but it fits pretty well and I love the color.

Plaid

I wore this out to dinner the other night.
I thought pairing a tee and fancy jacket would be fun. The jacket is Oscar De la Renta I found it at the thrift store.
Outfit photos after cocktails was probably not my brightest idea.

Animal Sweaters

It's getting colder and that means its sweater weather. I love wearing my J. Crew dog sweater around. I pair it with pencil skirts and colorful pants for a fun look or just throw it on with some jeans when I'm running late. I thought I'd look at some other fun animal sweaters.
If you are a cat person this is a great sweater to get covered in your cat's hair. I love his little orange bow tie it looks so nice with the navy. It's from Chicnova.
This is a sophisticated dog sweater. It's slim fitting so it can be tucked in. This guy has a bow tie too. I might just like animals with bowties.
This hedgehog sweater is so adorable! The sweater is so happy.

Mermaid

I wore this to go get some Chinese. I went to my favorite Chinese restaurant. I was adventurous and tried a new dish I wasn't crazy about but I still got my crab rangoons.
I really like this blazer I made. I'm glad it's getting cold so I can wear it again. I don't know if the pants still fit. Even though I excercise a few times a week my lower half is still getting bigger thankfully there are sewing patterns made for pears.
The restaurant owner called this a mermaid skirt. I guess the sequins look like scales.

Blue Blue

I wore this to school. I like wearing 2 pieces in similar colors. I had an accounting test pretty early in the morning so I just wanted something easy to throw on. This dress fit the bill perfectly.

I really like this dress because of the exposed darts. I think they add a special touch to an otherwise basic dress.

Eyelet

Just a quick post before I run out the door.
I really like the combo of leopard and yellow. It's no something I usually pair.

Falling Up

The people at Julep sent me a cool infographic on changing nail polish colors to fall. You look at the color you like to wear in the summer and it shows you what it thinks you would like in the fall.
I did an outfit inspired by some of the colors. My main color is the Claudette which is in my jacket. My necklace showcases the color in Clara. I normally wouldn't think about such a delicate color for fall but I really like the brick red and the ballet shoes color together.

Jungle

I wore this to school.

I really like the print on this blouse. I also like that it is 3/4 sleeves so I can show off a bracelet.

I love this bracelet. I really like the combination of pearls and emeralds. It's so delicate because a few of the rhinestones have fallen out.
