Velvet

So the snow has melted a bit so I'm wearing real shoes. I'm not brave enough to attempt heels in the ice and snow. I decided to wear my pretty vintage velvet dress that I got in Hampden.

It fits really well and I love the ribbon detail at the waist. I wore it to school today.
Dress- Decades (I got mine from their store but that is the online shop),jacket made by me, tights- Target

I wore it with my denim jacket you can see the cool inside details in the top picture. I love the jacket and the dress but I don't love them together. When the jacket is open or closed it covers the detail that makes the dress really special. It also makes me appear just up and down; I like to have a little waist definition.

What should I pair with it next time?

that velvet dress is such a pretty shade of dream and i'm with you on the wearing heels in the snow! Not that it snows where I live but I will never understand the fashion bloggers who commit to heels even when its freezing and slippery outside! :O

That's a cute dress! I think it would look really nice paired with orange or pink! Pink and green are two of my favorite colors, so maybe I'm a little bit biased. ;)

Happy weekend!

Cute dress, I'm totally addicted to velvet at the moment! Have you got a navy blazer perhaps? I think that would make a lovely combo (:

That dress is exquisite. From the colour to the material to the construction everything is so perfect. It looks like the softest velvet you could ever imagine.

I love how you styled it here and I think it would look fantastic with gold heels pearls and antique gold finish jewelery and your hair up in a french knot for an evening cocktail party.

Look forward to hearing from you
